Our Philosophy

We believe serving our clients is the most important aspect of our business. We were founded on the belief that the customer always comes first. This philosophy continues in our work today and into the future.

Smeltzer Insurance Agency, Inc

has been serving the east central Ohio area since 1962. Originating from a small branch office of Rankin and Rankin Insurance Agency, the branch located in Frazeysburg, Ohio, was purchased by Frederick L "Ted" Smeltzer, thus Smeltzer Insurance Agency was created.

With a combined experience of over 120 years, we stand as one of the most experienced and stable Insurance Agencies in the area. Our two locations for convenience of our clientele adds to the full service.

Truly a full service "Insurance Store". With offering auto, home, business, life and health coverage along with special events coverage, contractor bonds, truckers coverage and ALL other types of insurance, we give full service a whole new name.

Our offering of Bond and SR22 coverage is as diverse as any other in this part of the state. We are proud to quote with companies that offer special payment plans including a true monthly payment plan without a large down payment.

The needs of the insurance buying public in the East Central Ohio is unique to our area. As major insurance conglomerates develop rating structures that are not beneficial to the population of our area, making higher rates for economically disadvantaged areas, making higher rates for lower value and older homes, and persons with less than perfect credit.
